L ' National Association of Relatives of Victims of the Mafia invited me to the presentation of the book by Myron Luciano : THE Silt - Stories of journalists killed by the Mafia and buried by indifference (II edition extensively updated)

La presentazione si è svolta Sabato 21 Giugno 2008 - Ore 18,00 - a Villa Niscemi..
E' stata una bella giornata, durante la quale, la mia memoria ha rimosso la polvere, e non la sabbia, del tempo.. C'è grande differenza tra polvere e sabbia. La polvere si deposita sempre, normalmente, col passare dei giorni, sia che tu sia un tipo pulito sia che tu la trascuri.. La sabbia, invece, viene messa di proposito, per tacere, per nascondere.. Le storie trattate in questo libro sono storie, non solo tristi (come tutte le uccisioni), ma devastanti.. Perchè the characters, even heroes, in this book have experienced a fate after death to be passed from victims to perpetrators. At least until the work of family members and all those who loved him have done justice ..
classic example (to name one) is that of Peppino Impastato, found dead the day after the discovery of Aldo Moro. And then the national press ALL to him as a small terrorist, a small Brigade, died while wielding a weapon with which he was preparing an attack .. Only after nearly twenty years (twenty years) to the name Peppino Impastato was associated with the image of the innocent victims of MAFIA!
